Michelle Obama sets the record straight on divorce rumors in new podcast

According to The New York Times, former First Lady Michelle Obama provided insights into her personal life in a podcast that she launched with her brother recently. On Wednesday, the podcast, which goes by the name IMO, debuted, and the trailer showed glimpses of Michelle’s marriage amid rumors that she is divorcing former President Barack Obama. “I couldn’t have navigated eight years in the White House without my big brother,” Michelle remarked, reflecting on her tenure as First Lady from 2009 to 2017.
“… being married to the president of the United States is something that none of us expected. But, you know…,” she continued. “We recognized Barack’s intelligence and ambition.” She mentioned that she and Craig, who is the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, would answer audience questions on their podcast about “the challenges you face in life… whether it’s managing the complexities of marriage and parenting, dealing with friendship issues, or even learning how to engage in the dating scene.” Craig is also the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Michelle Obama revealed that her brother, Craig Robinson, encouraged her to support her husband’s presidential campaign, revealing her long-standing dislike of politics. The hosts will also discuss Robinson’s divorce from his first wife and his current marriage to Kelly McCrum Robinson. They will also address the ongoing rumors about the Obamas’ alleged separation, which has attracted a lot of media attention in recent months. The rumors of their split escalated to the point where some outlets suggested that Barack Obama was romantically involved with Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. However, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Aniston denied these assertions, claiming that she has only met the former president once. Michelle Obama then discussed the position of the woman in society, stating that when they give themselves the permission to prioritize themselves, they face struggles and issues. On Wednesday, the former First Lady appeared as a guest on Sophia Bush’s podcast, Work in Progress, where she shared her experiences following the departure of her daughters from home. Michelle and her brother intend to feature celebrity guests, including some who appeared on The Michelle Obama Podcast, such as director Tyler Perry, as well as new guests, such as actors Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer. “Life is what I want it to be, Sophia. It’s entirely up to me,” she remarked, emphasizing that the experience of being an “empty nester” is quite liberating.
“For the first time in my life, I am making all of my decisions for my own benefit.” Michelle Obama also talked about women’s place in society. She said that women often have problems when they let themselves put their own needs first. That’s a struggle that women face frequently; we frequently worry about disappointing others. This year, my decision to concentrate on myself surprised so many people that they speculated that my husband and I were divorcing. These rumors arose following Michelle’s absence from both Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration.
