In a passionate discourse on Fox News Channel, Stephen Miller, a prominent advisor to Trump and a staunch advocate for strict immigration policies, addressed a significant foreign fraud operation that has exploited counterfeit Social Security numbers to siphon nearly a trillion dollars from American taxpayers, with annual losses amounting to billions.
During his mid-February segment on Fox News Channel, Miller articulated that numerous foreign nationals, including millions of undocumented immigrants, have infiltrated the United States and are utilizing fraudulent Social Security numbers to misappropriate vast sums from federal programs such as Social Security.
He began by outlining the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the issues surrounding fake identities and Social Security numbers are extensive, given the large population of both legal and illegal immigrants. He stated, “Foreign nationals are entering the United States with counterfeit Social Security numbers and false identities to pilfer billions in taxpayer-funded benefits.”
Miller further elaborated that while the Department of Justice (DOGE) needs to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the situation, it seems there could be up to a trillion dollars in fraudulent activities for Elon Musk to address. He noted that many of the perpetrators are organized into “fraud and theft rings” that deliberately steal billions from American taxpayers.
To underscore his point, Miller remarked, “We cannot ascertain the exact amount until DOGE has complete access to the data. However, over a ten-year budget period, we could potentially save over $1 trillion by tackling the extensive fraud within our tax and entitlement systems, particularly those perpetrated by organized fraud and theft rings.”
Reactions on X highlighted support for Miller and Trump’s serious approach to addressing fraud and theft within these programs, with comments such as, “This discovery is significant. I hope it leads to social security recipients receiving an increase above the poverty line” and “I appreciate what D.O.G.E. is doing for the cause.”Keep up the good work Elon
Elon Musk has highlighted concerns regarding potential Social Security fraud. For instance, in a tweet on X that coincided with Mr. Miller’s remarks to Fox News, Musk stated, “Yes, there are FAR more ‘eligible’ social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA. This might be the biggest fraud in history.”
This tweet was a response to a comment on his post discussing the Social Security database, which revealed an astonishing number of individuals classified as elderly. In that now-infamous post about “vampires,” Musk remarked, “According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age category with the death field set to FALSE! Maybe Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security .”
Dan Bongino also addressed this issue during his podcast, where he mentioned uncovering a foreign fraud ring exploiting the entitlement program. He remarked, “Even if you are not against government waste and you actually support it, I should clarify that it’s not appropriate to describe it negatively,” as he introduced the segment.
Bongino further emphasized that the funds were not even being misused for the benefit of Americans, stating, “If you’re in favor of government waste, at least it should be wasted here, right? If you’re going to squander taxpayer money, it should be on US citizens. But no, it seems that nobody on the left cares.”
